A Fostoria man is facing criminal charges after children were found inside a vehicle he allegedly took and later abandoned, according to court records filed with the Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court.
Travis D. Martin, 25, of 505 N. Union Street, Fostoria, was charged Tuesday, May 26, with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and 2 counts of child endangerment, a first-degree misdemeanor under Ohio law. The charges were filed by Sgt. Brandon Bell of the Fostoria Police Department.
Martin appeared by video for arraignment on May 27 and entered a not guilty plea. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and a waiver of extradition. Court-appointed attorney Joshua Sherman has been assigned to represent him.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m.
