A 43-year-old Bucyrus man was killed Sunday evening in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Eden Township, Seneca County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
David M. Clayton was riding a 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle southbound on State Route 100 near State Route 67 at approximately 7:21 p.m. on April 12 when he failed to negotiate a curve, the Patrol’s Norwalk Post said in a media release. Clayton’s motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
Clayton was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to the Patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bloom Township Fire and EMS, Keller Brothers Towing and the Seneca County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
