Four people are dead after a single-vehicle crash on State Route 18 west of Tiffin late Thursday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on March 26 near County Road 48 in Seneca County.

According to the Norwalk Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Ford Focus driven by Hermoiney Greenler, 19, of Bucyrus, was traveling eastbound on State Route 18 when she failed to maintain control of the vehicle. The car left the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and became partially submerged in a pond.

Greenler and two passengers — Madison Yates, 21, and Jonathan Bowling, 22, both of Tiffin — were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third passenger, Alexzandria Hickle, 22, of Tiffin, was transported by ground ambulance to Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital, where she died from her injuries.

According to the Highway Patrol, Hickle was wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash. The other three occupants were not belted.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bascom Joint Fire District, Ohio Department of Transportation, Seneca County Coroner’s Office and Reinhart Auto Body assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
